GeoConex assisted Cocke County (Tenn.) E9-1-1 Emergency Communications District (ECD) with an emergency replacement of its existing phone system with a new Zetron 3300. GeoConex is an authorized dealer for Zetron systems.

Zetron offered to supply the ECD with a temporary emergency portable public-safety answering point (PSAP) during the time its phone system was inoperable. The Zetron 3300 VoIP call-taking system is the permanent replacement. The dispatchers will now have all the advantages of IP, and the center will have the technology in place to ensure compatible upgrades when the time comes.
